Welcome to Integration Architect release 8.12.0. This document contains the most up-to-date information on the software and may supersede certain information in the product documentation. It contains the following sections:
The 8.12.0 release delivers a number of improvements to the previous release. Product packages (such as Data Integrator and Business Integrator) are feature sets of the Integration Architect platform.
The license you purchase determines the features you can use. However, you may find documentation for features that are unavailable because you have not purchased them.
For information on the following topics, see the file contact.htm in the directory InstallDir\Common800\Help.
This release has been tested in a variety of hardware and software configurations. For detailed installation instructions, see Getting Started Guide in InstallDir\Common800\Help.
This section covers topics of interest when installing Integration Architect on a Microsoft Windows operating system.
You must have administrator rights to install Integration Architect.
The license file to use during installation of Integration Architect is provided by your Pervasive sales representative. This license .slc file determines which integration products can be installed. If you need to update features for your existing installation, your sales representative will send you an .slu file.
For maximum performance, ensure that your computer has physical memory to meet the requirements of the operating system and all applications.
Windows 95/98/ME/NT are not supported in this release. Technical Support is not provided for these platforms.
You must install a fully compliant JRE before you install Integration Architect. Java 1.4.2_06 and 1.5 have been successfully tested for this release.
Note The Integration Architect setup checks for Java on your computer. If Java is not present, setup asks you to exit and install it before continuing integration platform installation.
You need Internet Explorer 4.01 SP2 or later to install the product. You also need Internet Explorer to view the online help.
To check the version of Internet Explorer, do the following:
If you have a dual video card, disable all title bar settings on the card before running Integration Architect.
The Integration Architect installer automatically registers Microsoft CRM .dlls for the following .NET Framework release versions:
To determine the release version of your installation, look for the Microsoft CRM entry in Add/Remove Programs.
Note If you have a different version of .NET framework than one of the versions listed above, the Microsoft CRM .dlls are not configured by the installer. See how to manually register the files below.
regasm.exe DjMsCrmComObj.dll /tlb /codebase
regasm.exe DjMsCrmComObj3.dll /tlb /codebase

Explains how the developer or integration platform administrator defines customized targets for use with Easy Loader.
Provides new information for integration solution developers, faster learning for new users, and a better quick reference for existing users.
Covers integration platform embedding for Windows and Unix systems, including new rebranding features, silent installation, and customized setup packages.
This release of Message Component Framework contains many new features and advances in functionality.
MCF component properties support a hidden attribute that allows manipulation of a property. The container and component use this property to pass implementation-specific information in the background. This property is not visible in the design environment.
Some components display a read-only property that is determined by the component itself at design time. This property, if applicable to your component, is displayed in the component visual design environment dialog box for information only.
Improved URI Support in the file dialog presented by the Process Designer for "File" type properties. The dialog supports typing a URI as well as the selection of directory names.
A new RIFL object is provided to expose all actions available on components.
