Pervasive.SQL 2000 Solution
TST developed TSTracs in house after first using a third-party product that ultimately proved unable to meet key requirements. The product's database however, was high-performing and ultra-reliable, so TST chose to use it for the new, custom system. That database was Pervasive.SQL.
TSTracs relies entirely on Pervasive.SQL to store order information and other relevant data. Pervasive.SQL is key for maintaining orders, customer files, geographical records, driver and truck information, and other data. Its high performance, particularly the ability to search quickly, is one of the most important aspects of its successful performance within the TSTracs solution.
The TSTracs software has helped TST achieve improved productivity through faster order processing and management, better organizational performance (including major reductions in manual work and administrative errors), and improved customer service, since accurate information about freight shipments status is always immediately available.
Bottom Line
TST recently extended TSTracs capabilities to the Internet with a new tool called WebTracs. Customers can use it to access shipment status information in real time on the web.
