Staff Software Development Engineer

 Job Description:   

We are seeking a hands-on Intermediate Software Engineer with experience and strong qualifications to work on the Integration products suite. This is a key role in designing and extending leading edge integration software application products.  You will utilize your knowledge of Java technologies to create and maintain the next releases of our products on Windows and UNIX platforms.

Required Experience & Education: 

• A minimum of 2 years of software development experience with Java and development of Java-based components and component frameworks.
• Strong Java SDK and Object-Oriented programming skills, at least 2 years.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented (OO) languages, tools and UML.
• Experience in multi-platform development on Windows, Solaris, AIX, HP/UX and Linux systems.
• Work in a team environment to develop, integrate, test, deliver, and support effective, efficient and high quality solutions.
• Experience with product development within a well-defined software process.
• Solid technical communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent problem solving skills with strong debugging and diagnostic skills.
• Can learn and implement new technologies quickly and effectively.
• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in a computer field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience & Education: 

• Experience with XML-related technologies such as XPath, XQuery, XSL, XSLT, XML Schema.
• Experience with XML parsing and XML validation
• C/C++ programming, JNI
• Familiar with transactional, navigation and relational database concepts.
• Familiar with data and application integration concepts.
• Shipped a commercial product through multiple releases.
